PowerCem Concrete

Adding ConcreCem to cement when producing concrete or mortar will allow you fully utilise the amazing properties of this much under valued material.

Concrete has been used for decades by the construction industry, it has enabled the building of tower blocks, bridges and dam's roads. Which without concrete could never have been envisaged or built.

Now a single additive ConcreCem has been formulated that will totally expand and enable the properties of concrete, allowing it's use for dozens of new applications and improving it's performance for existing uses.

The Benefits of  Modified Concrete for floor slabs and bases.

No steel mesh
The addition of ConcreCem removes the need for steel mesh.
With no need for the placing of reinforcing steels, no manual handling of steels on site is involved, which speeds up the works and improves site safety.
No need for stock piles of steel mesh rusting on-site, saving on storage costs.
No cranes required to discharge from trucks or to move steel from place to place, saving of delivery and equipment hire costs.
Site safety is further improved by removing the most common trip hazards, manual handling risks, cuts from sharp edges and rusting metals caused by handling the steel reinforcement materials.
Reduction in CO2 ConcreCem modified concrete reduces your CO2 compared to concrete with steel mesh. Lower carbon is achieved as there is no need to manufacture or transport steel mesh and the increases in tensile strength will also allow contractors to reduce the thickness of the concrete base using less cement.
Cost-effective and time-savingConcreCem modified concrete is a totally different material cost-effective, long-lasting and time-saving, allowing simpler build technique and faster curing times, enabling contractors to complete on sites much more quickly.
It is easy to lay and a saving on man hours and equipment needed on site.Further construction time is gained and savings will be made by the reduction and elimination of the cutting and filling of expansion joints which will not be needed except on the very largest expanses of slab.

ConcreCem modified concrete is different in so many ways:

  •   Shorter setting time
  •   Higher module of elasticity
  •   Higher breaking strain
  •   Usable with poor or secondary/recycled aggregates
  •   Usable with any type of water, including sea waterü
  •   Higher in impact resistance
  •   Salt and acid resistant
  •   Frost resistant
  •   Heat/fire resistant up (thermally inert)
  •   Resistant to cracking
  •   Resistant to shrinkage
  •   High fracture strength
  •   Longer life span
  •   Impermeable not porous, no sealing required
  •   Faster strength gain up to 80 mpa within 24 hours

Applications
ConcreCem modified concrete can be laid in temperatures down to zero to replace any traditional concrete slab construction for use in all applications:
Industrial floors;where its speed of construction, high impact and fire resistance will be required.·        Commercial floors;where its longevity, cost and time saving will be a big benefit.
Retail floors; by allowing the contractor to complete the floor quicker than using traditional steel fabric and further reducing weight by building thinner big savings can be made in the design and construction of mezzanine floors.
Sea Defense applications;where the speed of application and setting enables works where concrete needs to be installed quickly with a fast strength gain. Ideal for marine environments ConcreCem modified concrete offers high salt and water resistance and unlike traditional concrete can be produced using sea water and even non aggregate beach sand without loss of integrity.
Rural applications; concrete silo's built with ConcreCem will safely hold animal waste without leakage or damage from acids or heat.
